Vocational education is one of the best choices I have ever made in my life. Life has changed for the better, and my family is proud of my achievement. I hope to go back to school and enroll for a diploma in primary teaching. I cannot overstate the value of education because it has made me proud and changed me and my family. I thank my parents for all their love and support, and I can never take Rooted Wisdom support for granted; it came in at the time when I needed it most. Rooted Wisdom has nurtured me into a life of endless possibilities and I sincerely thank you.”

This program has paved away of women in rural communities in exposing them to many business ideas and the ability to understand how to manage a business through classroom learning. This program makes sense since these women are considered as family heads because some of them are single mothers and had never got chance to have such trainings so it will help them to start up new businesses that will sustain their families The program has increased women’s confidence in running businesses, because of the business skills attained; I believe women are fearless of starting up businesses to strengthen their family economic status."

Through the goal setting lessons I have learned through the Life Skills Program, I have learned to remain focused on my dreams. This year I am going to get a project and I remain hopeful that if I care for my project well I will achieve my goal of getting a vocation education after completing school.”

I recently trained students of St. James in the SAPH top-up training. This was an achievement for me, as I could hardly believe that I was teaching at the same school I studied from earlier. I am glad that I can help most of the farmers in my village and can also support my family, especially my siblings who still go to school. My parents are happy that I have become someone important in our family, and I can’t thank IYHA enough for lighting my candle.”
